The Kinette Club of Edmonton has been fulfilling our goal of “serving the community’s greatest need” for more than 80 years in Edmonton.  We are part of Kin Canada, the largest Canadian service organization with nearly 500 clubs from coast to coast.  The Edmonton Kinettes are a dynamic group of woman with a common goal – to help make our community a better place.  Not only do we learn and grow personally through all our endeavours, but we also have fun and make friends while we volunteer together.

Edmonton’s Food Bank needs your help.
The August long weekend, and the Edmonton Heritage Festival, has typically been a major food drive over the three-day event, but this isn’t a typical summer.
They get about $100,000 in monetary donations and 50,000 kilograms from the event.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Heritage Festival is taking its pavilions online, offering a smorgasbord of entertainment and restaurants where you can order your meat on a stick and other favourites.

On Saturday, August 1 from 10 am to 4 pm Edmontonians are invited to make a non-perishable food donation during the Edmonton Food Bank’s drive thru Food Drive at either Southgate Centre or Edmonton’s Food Bank’s Main Warehouse. Simply drive thru with your donation in the trunk or back of your vehicle and their volunteers will be happy to collect it. If you can’t make it to one of the drive thru sites, non-perishable food donations can also be made at most local grocery stores.

Heritage Food Drive Locations
Southgate Centre North Parking Lot 51 Avenue between 110 Street and 108A Street

Edmonton’s Food Bank Main Warehouse 11508 120 Street.

Monetary donations can also be made securely through CanadaHelps, which will help Edmonton’s Food Bank purchase food in bulk, fuel our fleet of trucks, keep their facilities running, and fund programs that assist people in need in our community.

Visit this year’s online Heritage Festival to experience some of Edmonton’s diverse cultures and support local cultural groups and ethnic restaurants.
